Stress-strain Response Modelling of Glass Fibre Reinforced Epoxy Composite Pipes under Multiaxial Loadings
This paper presents the modelling of stress strain response of glass fibre reinforced epoxy (GRE) composite pipes subjected to multiaxial loadings at room temperature (RT). This particular modelling work was developed to predict the non-linear stress strain response caused by the fatigue cyclic and static loading in the multiaxial ultimate elastic wall stress (UEWS) tests by considering the eff...
متن کاملThe Trace Formula and its Applications
In May, 1999 James Greig Arthur, University Professor at the University of Toronto was awarded the Canada Gold Medal by the National Science and Engineering Research Council. This is a high honour for a Canadian scientist, instituted in 1991 and awarded annually, but not previously to a mathematician, and the choice of Arthur, although certainly a recognition of his great merits, is also a reco...
متن کاملBeta-Linear Failure Rate Distribution and its Applications
We introduce in this paper a new four-parameter generalized version of the linear failure rate distribution which is called Beta-linear failure rate distribution. The new distribution is quite flexible and can be used effectively in modeling survival data and reliability problems. It can have a constant, decreasing, increasing and bathtub-shaped failure rate function depending on its parameter...
متن کاملOn a Formula for the Spectral Flow and Its Applications
We consider a continuous path of bounded symmetric Fredholm bilinear forms with arbitrary endpoints on a real Hilbert space, and we prove a formula that gives the spectral flow of the path in terms of the spectral flow of the restriction to a finite codimensional closed subspace. We also discuss the case of restrictions to a continuous path of finite codimensional closed subspaces. As an applic...
متن کاملON A FORMULA FOR THE nTH DERIVATIVE AND ITS APPLICATIONS
In this paper we obtain a formula which involves the n th derivative of the first order divided difference and a corresponding inequality for functions whose (n + 1)-th derivative belongs to a L p space. These results are a generalization of the results from [1] and [2]. Finally, some examples are given.
